Job summary

Matthew Flinders Anglican College – Buderim QLD is seeking a dedicated science teacher to deliver engaging, innovative and inclusive lessons for students across Years 7–12. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Chemistry, Physics or Biology at senior level and contribute to a dynamic, collegial learning environment.

Qualifications

• Current Teacher Registration with the QLD College of Teachers, or ability to achieve registration.
• Experience teaching secondary science across multiple disciplines would be advantageous.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering engaging, innovative and inclusive Science lessons that foster curiosity and a genuine love of learning. You will teach students across Years 7–12 and have the ability to teach Chemistry, Physics or Biology at a Senior level.

To be successful for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

Current Teacher Registration with the QLD College of Teachers, or ability to achieve registration.

Experience teaching secondary science (an ability to teach across multiple disciplines within the Science Department would be advantageous).

The ability to engage evidence and data-informed instructional strategies and develop a deep understanding of students, curriculum, and assessment practices to plan, deliver, assess and report on student achievement.
