Peregian Beach College in Peregian Beach, Queensland, seeks a passionate Secondary Digital Technologies/Solutions Teacher. The role covers Digital Technologies for Years 7–10 and Digital Solutions for Years 11–12, with knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (V9.0) expected.

Qualifications

• Hold current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Hold recognised tertiary qualification in Education or similar.
• Have experience in teaching Digital Technologies and Digital Solutions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
• Be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Have knowledge and experience with V9.0 Australian Curriculum
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisation.
• Possess self-motivation, creative endeavour and a willingness to accept responsibility.
• Outstanding professional presentation and manner.
• Be committed to one's own continued improvement through professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective and engaging curriculum for Years 7-12 students.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
• Introduce students to digital systems and solutions, fostering real-world applications of their learning.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology across the curriculum and enhance digital literacy throughout the College
• Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork amongst the students
• Stay updated on advancements in technology and incorporate them into the curriculum to ensure students gain contemporary skills
• Support and mentor students participating in technology-related extra-curricular activities, competitions, or projects.
