Job summary

Kalfresh, a Queensland horticulture company, is recruiting for multiple casual Forklift Operator roles to support onion harvest from Oct 2026 to Jan 2027 across Kalbar, Clintonvale and Gatton. You’ll operate High Reach forklifts, load onions from paddock to truck, and collaborate with harvest and production teams while maintaining safety, hygiene and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have LF forklift licence, full Australian working rights, and ability to travel between sites; three roles available

Qualifications

• Experience operating a High Reach Forklift in a farming environment.
• LF forklift licence and full Australian working rights.
• Current drivers licence; truck licence considered an asset.
• Ability to travel between farming locations.

Responsibilities

• Load onions from paddock to truck and around the factory.
• Operate forklifts with precision and care for safe loading.
• Follow harvest advice, documentation and accuracy.
• Adhere to farm policies and SOPs.
• Work with harvest and production teams to meet logistics timelines.
• Maintain hygiene standards.
• Support harvest team to reach KPI targets.
