Job summary

Accru is seeking an experienced audit contractor to join the team for approximately three months during the January to March busy season. You will contribute quickly across year-end audit engagements, assisting with planning, fieldwork, and documentation.

Strong Excel and audit software skills, and familiarity with Australian standards, are highly regarded. The role requires working collaboratively within a team, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality audit work with minimal

Qualifications

• Team player with external audit experience
• Strong understanding of financial statements and audit methodology
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Experience using Excel and audit software
• Exposure to Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Auditing Standards

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning and fieldwork for year-end audits during a high-volume period.
• Preparing and reviewing audit workpapers (depending on experience).
• Conducting substantive testing across key financial statement balances.
• Completing audit sections with limited supervision.
• Following up client information and documenting audit evidence and conclusions.
• Helping the team progress engagements through to completion.
