Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable services for AI-assisted electrical design tools used in satellite hardware workflows.

You will own features end-to-end, from design through testing to deployment in AWS, collaborating with electrical and hardware teams to translate engineering needs into robust software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable services and tools across our AI-assisted electrical design toolset.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features, from design through implementation, testing, and deployment in AWS.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and APIs supporting electrical engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with electrical and hardware engineers to translate domain needs into robust software solutions.
• Drive integration across engineering tools and internal platform services for seamless data flow.
• Contribute to AI-driven capabilities such as automated schematic review and design queries.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical ownership.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure platform reliability.
