MAYDAY Recruitment Group is recruiting a Scrub Scout RN for a private surgical hospital on the Sunshine Coast. The role is full-time, with theatre responsibilities across ophthalmology, orthopaedics, ENT, and more.

You will scrub, scout, and support surgeons while rotating across specialties, enjoying a lifestyle near the beach. Ideal candidates will hold AHPRA registration, have 1+ year Scrub Scout experience, and demonstrate strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and full working rights are required.
• 1+ years post-graduate Scrub Scout experience.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties is highly regarded.
• Ophthalmology experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and scout across a varied surgical caseload.
• Support surgeons and theatre teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to ensure smooth procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative theatre culture.

The hospital has a strong surgical presence on the Sunshine Coast, with multiple operating theatres and a busy caseload across Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Oral & Maxillofacial, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Pain Management and Oculoplastic Surgery.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Scrub Scout RN to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.

We’re particularly interested in nurses who enjoy the variety of theatre nursing and can confidently scrub across multiple specialties.
