Job summary

Queensland Government’s Queensland Health is seeking a laboratory professional to apply scientific judgement across Microbiology, Serology and Molecular disciplines, delivering accurate results and clinical advice in a client-focused manner.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, contribute to quality and service improvement under NATA/ISO accreditation, and pursue professional development with generous leave and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in delivering scientific judgement across Microbiology/Serology/Molecular disciplines.
• Ability to participate in multi-disciplinary teams and provide diagnostic skills and clinical advice.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in line with accreditation.
• Provide results and clinical advice in a client-focused manner.

Following appropriate training, you will rotate through all sections of the departments, building your capabilities while supporting a flexible, responsive and customer-focused service that meets operational needs.The essential requirements for this role are;Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in the delivery of scientific judgement within the various disciplines of the Microbiology/Serology/Molecular departments.Demonstrated ability to participate in a single-discipline or multidisciplinary team and contribute a range of diagnostic skills relevant to the discipline.Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to Microbiology/Serology/Molecular departments with provision of results and clinical advice in a client focused manner.Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation / certification.Why work with us?Work alongside passionate professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment that values people and prioritises employee success and wellbeing.
