Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a scientifically proficient professional to deliver results across Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology. You will maintain analytical equipment and ensure services meet clinical standards while working within a collaborative laboratory team.

The role supports quality and service improvement initiatives in line with NATA/ISO accreditation, with a focus on safety and systematic process enhancement in a busy hospital laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to apply multi-specialty scientific judgement, advice and provision of results in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services in accordance with professional clinical standards, established principles / procedures and comprehensive operation and maintenance of analytical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team to contribute to the objectives of the laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation / certification.

Job description

The essential requirements for this role are;

• Demonstrated ability to apply multi-specialty scientific judgement, advice and provision of results in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services in accordance with professional clinical standards, established principles / procedures and comprehensive operation and maintenance of analytical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team to contribute to the objectives of the laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with National Association of Testing Authority/International Standardisation Organisation (NATA/ISO) accreditation / certification.
