Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream secondary school in Newcastle to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher who can deliver engaging Science lessons while supporting students to reach their academic potential.

The role is long-term with an immediate start and potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will plan, prepare and deliver lessons, assess student progress and maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with the national curriculum.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or current ECT status.
• Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Experience planning, delivering and assessing engaging Science lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Positive, adaptable approach with a passion for student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Salary: £165 - £250 per day (Paid to Scale)

The school provides education to secondary-aged students and is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can deliver engaging Science lessons while supporting students in achieving their academic potential.

The school is looking to take on a qualified Science Teacher for an immediate start on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum, alongside marking, assessing student progress and maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Experience planning, delivering and assessing engaging Science lessons
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, adaptable approach with a passion for supporting student achievement
