Catholic Education in the Diocese of Cairns – St Monica's College, Cairns, seeks a Science Lab Assistant to support the Science Lab Technician in preparing and delivering chemicals and equipment for practical lessons. This role operates during term time, is 12 hours per week, and is based at St Monica's College in Cairns.

The position offers SOF Level 3 hourly pay of $34.17–$35.62 gross, plus 12.75% employer superannuation.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in a team and support a school science program.
• Ability to adhere to school timetables and safety guidelines.
• Some science experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Science Lab Technician to prepare and deliver chemicals and equipment for classes.
• Collate experiment orders from teachers and gather related equipment.
• Occasionally help in classroom practical lessons and clean up glassware after use.
