Job summary

Matrix Education in Sydney is seeking an inspirational education leader to own teaching quality, student outcomes and staff development across a defined cohort of teachers and students. You will observe lessons, coach casual teachers, and drive targeted interventions, while continuing to teach around six hours per week to stay connected to the classroom.

Reporting to the Science Faculty Lead, you will contribute to curriculum development, monitor data, support campus growth, and lead coaching

Qualifications

Proven teaching track record in HSC, VCE or Primary curriculum, with credibility among educators.
Tertiary qualification in Education, or a discipline related to your faculty.
Genuine appetite for developing others and giving impactful feedback.
Comfortable using LMS platforms, spreadsheets and reporting tools to track observations and student progress.

Responsibilities

Teaching quality and team capability across campuses.
Run regular classroom observations across your assigned campuses, tracking development for every casual teacher.
Deliver practical, one-on-one coaching that improves lesson pacing and student engagement, and moves SEQ and NPS scores.
Screen and onboard new casual teachers so they’re classroom-ready fast.
Maintain an approachable, high-trust presence that casual staff come to for guidance, keeping satisfaction high.
Teach at least six hours a week to stay connected to the classroom.
