Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Saint Albans VIC is seeking a School Social Worker to join the iCAN Campus wellbeing team. You will deliver 1-1 support, case management and targeted group interventions for students across year levels, with a focus on disengaged learners and attendance challenges.

Under the supervision of the Student Wellbeing Manager, you will liaise with families and external agencies, develop individual plans, monitor progress and promote resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Social Work or Counselling.
• Proven ability to provide information, advice and support to coordinators, families and professionals.
• Experience in education settings and wellbeing program delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief counselling and effective case management for students.
• Develop and implement targeted group interventions and lunchtime activities.
• Liaise with families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Maintain case notes and progress, and promote resilience and engagement.
• Collaborate with the wellbeing team to plan and evaluate support strategies.
