Job summary

Boronia K-12 College seeks a dedicated school counsellor to provide one-on-one and group wellbeing support across Junior to Senior School. You will work with students, families and staff to promote safe, inclusive learning environments and coordinate connections with external services as required.

The role emphasizes comprehensive wellbeing services, safeguarding, and collaboration with the Wellbeing Leader and college community to enhance student engagement and success.

Qualifications

• Counselling students with a range of issues; wellbeing-focused approach.
• Knowledge of student support strategies and wellbeing services in education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with school and community.
• Ability to manage complex wellbeing-related incidents following required processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling for students across age groups.
• Consult with parents, teachers and external services to support wellbeing.
• Develop and implement wellbeing strategies and group interventions.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for wellbeing activities and crises.
• Collaborate with Wellbeing Team and school leadership.
