Job summary

Dakabin State High School is seeking a Science Technician to join the Science team. The role involves supporting teachers and students in a cooperative laboratory environment, coordinating tasks, preparing experiments, and maintaining equipment.

A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required. This is a temporary part-time position (0.60FTE) until 11 December 2026, with a flexible workload to suit busy periods and school needs.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate tasks and support colleagues during busy periods.
• Experience assisting with preparing experiments and maintaining lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare practical experiments, organise and maintain equipment and resources.
• Manage laboratory supplies and ensure safety procedures are followed.
