Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking a dedicated psychologist to join Melton Secondary College. The role focuses on delivering psychological services within a school setting, including counselling, assessments and support for students, staff collaboration and development of wellbeing programs.

You will work with Allied Health and Inclusion teams to ensure access to learning and growth for students, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards while contributing to a supportive

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a psychologist in educational or clinical psychology.
• Demonstrated capacity to engage with young people and the school community.
• Experience delivering psychological services within a school environment.
• Highly developed communication and ability to maintain confidential case notes.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to whole-school mental health prevention and promotion activities, including wellbeing planning and leadership development.
• Provide early intervention and short-term counselling to students and groups with mild to moderate concerns.
• Coordinate and monitor supports for students with complex needs in collaboration with families and professionals.
• Develop and maintain student support plans and contribute to inclusion processes and funding documentation.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case management records and provide clear documentation and follow-up.
