Job summary

Somerset College on the Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated College Nurse to join the Health Centre team. The role provides nursing care, first aid and health support for students and staff during term time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with unrestricted AHPRA registration, childcare health experience, current First Aid and CPR, and training in Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Epilepsy and Diabetes Management.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse qualification and unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Experience delivering healthcare services to children and young people.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current training in Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Epilepsy and Diabetes Management.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Sound digital literacy and experience maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care, first aid and health support services to students and staff.
• Administer medications and monitor student health needs.
• Respond to medical incidents, emergencies and escalation requirements.
• Maintain confidential health records and documentation.
• Assist with individual student healthcare plans.
