Job summary

Comet Bay College in Western Australia is seeking a permanent full-time Library Officer to develop and support day-to-day library operations and provide reference and information services to staff and students. You will manage library systems, ensure records are current, and maintain resources to be accessible at all times.

The role may include library skills training, creating engaging displays and aligning purchases with curriculum initiatives.

Qualifications

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Valid Working With Children Check before you start, and
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support day-to-day operations of the school library and provide reference, information and related services to teaching staff and students.
• Administer library systems and ensure records are up-to-date; maintain and process resources for access at all times.
• Ideally conduct library skills training, display library systems and connect purchasing with curriculum initiatives.
