Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds under direct supervision. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices, and maintaining equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.

The role involves setting up spaces for events, assisting with deliveries, and performing grounds-keeping tasks including snow removal and spreading de-icing materials. Experience in building maintenance is desirable.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English fluently.
• Ability to read, write and follow work orders from supervisor.
• Ability to describe problems and coordinate work with staff.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure.
• Experience in building/cleaning maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Checks and secures building at beginning and end of shift.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips and waxes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets and blinds.
• Washes walls, ceilings, windows and doors.
• Removes graffiti and cleans glass areas.
• Sets up and breaks down chairs, tables and equipment.
• Delivers supplies and materials to classrooms and areas.
• Receives deliveries and assists in unloading trucks.
• Performs grounds-keeping duties and snow removal.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and stores supplies.
