Job summary

Glen Eira City Council is seeking individuals to attend crossings across multiple locations in Melbourne's southeast. The role requires a reliable vehicle, flexibility for short-notice shifts and a strong safety focus to interact with children, parents and school staff.

Shifts run during school crossing times, with mandatory Police Checks and Working with Children Checks prior to commencement. Pre-employment checks are part of our process, and applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged

Qualifications

• Mandatory Working with Children Check and satisfactory Police Check.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and without supervision.
• Flexibility to travel to any crossing within the municipality and attend training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Attend crossings for 45 minutes, Monday to Friday, across locations.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and build rapport with children, parents and school staff.
