Job summary

Narrabri West Public School in Narrabri is seeking a School Counsellor to support student wellbeing through counselling and assessment. The role offers collaboration with teachers, families and external agencies within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will engage with primary and high school aged students, participate in ongoing professional development, and align with NSW Department of Education standards and supervision structures.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to improve student learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment for students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Participate in supervision and professional development within a multidisciplinary team.
