Job summary

NSW Department of Education invites applications for a School Counsellor based at Narrandera Public School. You will provide counselling and psychological assessment to students, collaborate with teachers and families, and support diverse learners.

This permanent part-time 0.6 FTE role offers supervision, travel between worksites, rural incentives, and subsidies; join a multidisciplinary team to improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Be a registered or provisionally registered psychologist, or eligible for registration.
• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions with children and young people.
• Be willing to travel between worksites and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment of students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to support wellbeing and learning outcomes.
• Engage in supervision and participate in district school counselling team activities.
• Maintain professional records and reports in accordance with policy.
