Job summary

Recruitment 247 is seeking reliable School Bus Drivers to join our client's team in Lockyer Valley, QLD. This permanent part-time role offers roughly 20 hours per week, with morning and afternoon runs on school days and holidays off.

You will perform safety inspections, maintain clear routes, and ensure passenger safety. Applicants must hold a current Queensland MR Driver's Licence (or higher) and Driver Authorisation (DA) or be able to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland MR Driver's Licence or higher.
• Current Driver Authorisation (DA), or the ability to obtain one (medical assessment required).
• Previous bus driving experience.
• Experience working with children is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to passenger safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-start and safety inspections of the bus.
• Ensure the bus has sufficient fuel for all scheduled runs.
• Report any faults or defects identified during inspections.
• Drive safely and adhere to all road rules and speed limits.
• Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all passengers.
• Enforce and report breaches of the School Student Code of Conduct.
• Maintain scheduled route times and avoid early services.
• Complete passenger checks at the end of each run.
• Sweep and clean the bus daily; close windows and hatches; secure the bus when unattended; wash the bus weekly.
