Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education seeks a Speech Pathologist to empower students to access learning and social opportunities. You will work within the school team to support speech, language, and communication needs across multiple communities, delivering evidence-based interventions and collaborating with BCE staff.

You will evaluate student needs, prepare clear reports for families and teachers, and contribute to staff training and parent education.

Qualifications

• Experience with standardised and non-standardised assessment tools to evaluate student communication and learning needs.
• Proven ability to design and implement interventions that improve student outcomes.
• Experience working alongside teachers to set and prioritise communication and learning goals.
• Strong skills in providing clear, actionable reports and feedback to parents and educators on student progress.
• Experience in leading or contributing to staff training and providing educational opportunities for parents on speech pathology topics.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to speech pathology resource needs and services within the school.
• Partner with staff and external personnel to evaluate student communication and learning needs.
• Implement evidence-based, data-informed interventions to enhance communication, learning, and wellbeing of students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to prioritise goals and develop intervention strategies, resources, and training.
• Contribute to professional development of staff and facilitate parent education opportunities.
