Job summary

Queensland Department of Education employs around 260 full-time speech language pathologists to support students, teachers and families with speech-language needs in schools. You will deliver contemporary SLP services and work in a collaborative, whole-school approach to reduce barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or be in final year of degree in speech pathology from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Must be eligible for membership with the professional body.
• Must have current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) and criminal history check.
• Must have relevant driving licence (Queensland 'C' class).

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services to students in school settings.
• Support teachers and families to address speech-language communication needs.
• Promote the importance of speech-language skills for learning using a whole-school approach.
