Job summary

Queensland Department of Education is seeking school-based Physiotherapists to support children with disability across multiple regions. This talent pool role allows placement in full-time or part-time positions, while you develop paediatric skills within a state-wide team.

You will influence outcomes through classroom positioning, school activities, and camp participation, contributing to a child's overall educational experience.

Qualifications

• Possession of a degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent qualifications acceptable by the Director-General.
• Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
• Current citizenship, resident or visa status required to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve potential using evidence-based physiotherapy knowledge.
• Collaborate with school leaders, teachers and other services to provide physiotherapy services.
• Develop and implement assessment, program planning, intervention and monitoring strategies for students with disability.
• Provide consultative physiotherapy services and resources to school leaders, staff, parents and peers.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities to enhance school physiotherapy services.
• Engage in professional development and clinical supervision to maintain high-quality services.
