Job summary

Queensland Government’s Department of Education employs a large team of physiotherapists to support students with disability across Queensland. Successful applicants will enter a talent pool for up to twelve months to be considered for suitable positions.

Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for identical vacancies within the Department. Responsibilities include supporting students with evidence-based physiotherapy, collaborating with school

Qualifications

• Degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Current citizenship, resident or visa status required to be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based physiotherapy.
• Collaborate with school leaders, teachers and other services to provide physiotherapy services.
• Develop and implement best-practice assessment, program planning, intervention and monitoring strategies for students with disability.
• Provide consultative physiotherapy services and resources to assist school leaders, staff, parents, and other professional peers.
• Participate in quality improvement and research activities, enhancing physiotherapy services in schools.
• Actively participate in professional development activities and clinical supervision to improve and ensure high quality services are delivered.
