Job summary

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) is inviting applications for a Staff Specialist in Rural Paediatrics under the eCredential program. The role involves leadership within multidisciplinary teams and delivering clinical care across rural NSW, with educational activities in metropolitan and rural settings.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and quality improvement while maintaining child-safe practices and participating in on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrician.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel to rural NSW and to metropolitan and rural NSW.
  • Ability to work flexibly in different clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical communication through IT, written and verbal skills.
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  • Availability for on-call roster and on-site response.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to perform relieving roles in rural NSW and to deliver educational activities in metropolitan and rural NSW.
  • Be flexible in the workplace to adapt to different clinical settings.
