Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking a Scheduling Officer to coordinate crews and schedules across roads, parks, buildings and fleet. This permanent full-time role emphasizes proactive planning and strong communication within a busy council environment.

You’ll work with leaders to optimize service delivery, handle complex scheduling, and contribute to community outcomes. Flexible work options and development support are provided.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Business, Communications, Logistics and/or demonstrated scheduling experience.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to change with independent judgement.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills in a customer-centric setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Current C Class driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of essential services by scheduling crews across roads, parks, buildings and fleet.
  • Work with experienced leaders to make real-time decisions that affect service delivery.
  • Provide organized, proactive scheduling support to ensure efficient operations and improved outcomes.

Salary Ranging: $82,918.16 - $96,364.07 + 12% Superannuation per annum

This is more than a scheduling role, it’s an opportunity to become the operational hub of one of Council’s largest service areas. You’ll work alongside experienced leaders to coordinate the delivery of roads, parks, buildings, fleet and other essential community services, contributing to real time decisions that directly impact how services are delivered across the Shire. What you'll need (Essential Criteria)
  • Qualification in Business, Communications, Logistics and/or demonstrated experience in scheduling.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written communication skills including the ability to write in a clear, fluent and concise manner, with an ability to organise information in a logical sequence and produce written communications that are appropriate and readily understood by the intended audience.
  • Outstanding level of skill operating autonomously and exercising independent judgement to effectively manage information in an environment of continuous change.
  • Demonstrated ability in analytical problem-solving skills and facilitation technical resolutions within a customer-centric business-focused environment.
  • Remarkable skills in the use of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based and other work-related platforms such as scheduling software.
  • Exceptional written communication skills including the ability to write in a clear, fluent and concise manner, with an ability to organise information in a logical sequence and produce written communication that are appropriate and readily understood by the intended audience.
  • Hold a current C Class drivers' licence.
