Viva Energy Australia in Darwin is seeking a skilled Scheduler to manage stock and schedule fuel deliveries to our metro and surrounding customers. Based at Wishart Rd Office, Berrimah, this role runs Monday to Friday 8am–5pm (38 hours/week) with after-hours on-call responsibilities.

You will plan loads, maintain stock for VMI and depot locations, provide updates to customers, and keep internal stakeholders informed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in scheduling bulk fuels or goods & services.
  • Knowledge of Bulk fuels operations and day-to-day challenges.
  • Familiarity with Road Transport Logistics and Fatigue Laws.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule loads in accordance with regulations and optimise fleet schedules.
  • Manage stock levels for vendor managed sites (VMI) and depot locations.
  • Provide updates to customers on fuel deliveries and keep internal stakeholders informed.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling or truck availability issues in real time.

Job description

The scheduler is a critical role in our supply chain, based in Wishart Rd Office, Berrimah. In this role you are accountable for stock management and scheduling fuel deliveries to our metro & surrounding customers and delivering great customer service.

This role is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, 38 hours a week.

After hours phone: there is a requirement to take calls and potentially adjust schedules after hours as the role relies heavily on operational success, after hours phone is shared between CSC staff.

Key tasks include:
  • Scheduling - planning loads in accordance with regulations.
  • Stock management - reviewing and maintaining stock levels for vendor managed sites (VMI) and our internal depot's locations.
  • Customer service, providing updates on fuel deliveries.
  • High internal communication, regular updates and feedback to our customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Optimise fleet schedules, maximising products to customer tanks.
  • Problem solving, thinking outside the square and providing potential solutions to aid and close unplanned schedule or truck availability changes.
To be successful in this role you will be:
  • Well organised and proactive, enabling you to plan and build efficient daily delivery schedules for our fleet in Metro Darwin.
  • An effective communicator, you will be able to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, understand their requirements and the capability of our fleet and drivers.
  • A problem solver! Be able to work with key stakeholders to troubleshoot in real time.
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Knowledge in the following would be advantageous:
  • Scheduling of bulk fuel or goods & services.
  • Bulk fuels operations and its day-to-day challenges.
  • Road Transport Logistics (Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility & Fatigue Laws).
  • General logistics management experience.
  • Fatigue Management accreditation and general understanding.
  • A background in using ERP systems.
  • Working understanding of relevant HSSE requirements.
