Job summary

Tweed Shire Council invites applications for a role focused on developing, installing and maintaining electronic Monitoring and Control Systems for Water and Sewer Assets. The role supports SCADA operations, ensuring reliable performance, low risk and cost-effective solutions across the network.

Based in Chinderah, you will monitor system performance, assist in maintenance plans and capital planning while collaborating with Mechanical and Electrical teams.

Qualifications

• NSW Electrical or Contractor’s Licence is required.
• Certificate IV in Instrumentation (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
• Proven PLC programming, SCADA, and radio telemetry experience.
• Knowledge of water supply and sewage treatment processes.
• Ability to design, implement and manage control systems for complex plant circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install and maintain electronic Monitoring and Control Systems for Water and Sewer Assets.
• Support the operation and performance of SCADA systems, ensuring reliable infrastructure at minimal risk and cost.
• Monitor system performance and contribute to maintenance programs and capital planning.
• Provide technical support to Mechanical and Electrical teams and assist other areas as required.
• Work collaboratively within the Water Unit with flexibility, attention to detail and strong client service orientation.
