Job summary

Evoenergy is seeking a SCADA Engineer - Automation Systems to support secure, reliable delivery of secondary systems projects in the ACT region. You will manage access and configuration for protection, SCADA and communications devices, including relays and RTUs.

Work with SCADA specialists to solve problems, enhance cyber security, and deliver projects from IEC 61850 upgrades to substation SCADA. Strong analytical skills and automation tool development are essential.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification in Systems/Electrical/Telecommunications/IT or related field.
Knowledge and practical experience in SCADA, automation systems, and Ethernet networks.
Understanding of cyber security risks affecting electrical utility secondary systems and SOCI Act.
Experience with software applications, databases and programming, ability to develop automated tools and templates.

Responsibilities

Manage and enhance remote access and configuration management system; resolve defects with vendor.
Develop and maintain automation templates, configurations, I/O lists and test plans.
Configure and deliver minor SCADA and monitoring projects; power quality and substation installations.
Support IEC 61850 zone substation engineering including SCD files, HMI displays and network configurations.
Identify and help remediate cyber security vulnerabilities across secondary systems.
