Job summary

Stoddart Group is hiring for Saw Operators, Frame Line Assemblers and Truss Assemblers in Brisbane. We offer stable, full-time roles with consistent hours in a growing production team.

You’ll fabricate timber frames and trusses, learn saw operation, read plans, and work with jigs, presses and hand tools in a safety-focused environment. Open to beginners and experienced workers alike who are motivated to learn.

Qualifications

• You don’t need years of experience, a great attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.
• Previous experience as a labourer, trade assistant or in timber/frame & truss manufacturing is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating timber roof trusses and wall frames
• Learning to operate our saws
• Reading and working from truss and frame plans
• Using jigs, presses and hand/power tools safely
• Loading, stacking and preparing materials and finished products
• Working as part of a team to keep production moving
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work environment

Whether you have experience in construction, manufacturing, labouring or timber, or you’re simply keen to learn, we want to hear from you!

These are full-time positions offering consistent hours and the stability of a well-established company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Fabricating timber roof trusses and wall frames

What We're Looking For

• Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work
• Are reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Work well as part of a team
• Are physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, repetitive work
• Are willing to learn new skills
• Have previous experience as a labourer, trade assistant or in timber/frame & truss manufacturing (highly regarded, but not essential)
• Have a forklift licence (advantageous, but not essential)

Shift Times:

Day Shift: 5:00am – 1:00pm

Afternoon Shift: 12:30pm – 8:30pm
