AFTERNOON SAW OPERATOR

Full-Time | Silverdale, NSW | Monday-Friday

Direct Steel Traders is a growing steel supplier based in Silverdale, NSW, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated Saw Operator to join our afternoon shift team on a full-time basis.

Hours

Monday to Friday - 2:00pm to 10pm

Hourly rate will be based on experience, with applicable afternoon shift loading.

About the Role

The role will primarily involve operating our saw, accurately cutting material to customer requirements and working as part of our warehouse team.

The successful applicant will have:

• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy

• Ability to confidently read and understand measurements

• Ability to follow cutting lists and job requirements

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently when required

• A reliable attitude and strong work ethic

• A commitment to workplace safety

Advantageous, but Not Essential

Experience in the following would be highly regarded:

• Knowledge of different steel shapes, sizes and grades

• Previous experience operating a steel saw or similar machinery

• Forklift licence

• Experience operating an overhead crane

• Previous experience within a steel, manufacturing or warehouse environment

Training can be provided to the right applicant who has the right attitude and willingness to learn.
