Job summary

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure Solution Architect is to provide expert advice and content knowledge in regard to the continual provision of leadership on architecture and related initiatives.

About the Role

As the Solution Architect, you will provide architectural leadership and expert advice across the design, development, integration and ongoing enhancement of enterprise solutions, ensuring technology outcomes align with business requirements and organisational strategy. You will analyse business requirements and system specifications, develop solution architecture and detailed design documentation, and ensure solutions comply with relevant technical strategies, standards, policies, governance and cyber security requirements. You will lead the identification and resolution of complex architectural and technology challenges, manage solution risks and issues, and assess proposed changes to ensure designs remain robust, scalable and fit for purpose. You will work closely with business owners, technical teams, project teams, vendors and other stakeholders to define and deliver agreed outcomes, while providing expert advice and quality assurance across key project deliverables. You will maintain contemporary knowledge of enterprise and postmodern ERP solutions, preferably SAP, and apply emerging technologies and architectural practices where appropriate. You will also support effective knowledge transfer, solution handover and capability uplift to ensure Queensland Health teams are equipped to support and enhance solutions following implementation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced Solution Architect with extensive expertise designing and delivering complex SAP solutions within highly integrated, large-scale ERP transformation environments, including demonstrated experience within Queensland Government. You will bring strong knowledge across SAP finance and supply chain domains, including General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Management Accounting and Budgeting, Asset Management, Real Estate, Inventory Management, Operational Procurement and Extended Warehouse Management. You will have significant architectural experience developing integration strategies, solution architectures and Solution Integration Designs, with the ability to translate complex SAP technical concepts into practical solutions that achieve business outcomes. You will be experienced in developing and presenting high-quality architectural and solution artefacts and working across multiple technical and business teams to maintain an integrated end-to-end solution. You will demonstrate strong leadership capability, including coaching and mentoring architects, leading team members and supporting the delivery of high-quality services within agreed deadlines and service levels. Your highly developed communication, consultation and negotiation skills will enable you to provide strategic advice, influence complex decisions and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and clients in changing environments. You will also maintain contemporary knowledge of ERP and integration technologies, industry trends, systems integration and service-oriented architecture, with experience across Health or similarly complex enterprise environments highly regarded.

The Benefits

You will be offered a contract through to 30th June 2027 with possible extension, on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
