Job summary

XPT Software is seeking an experienced SAP ILM/Archiving specialist to lead end-to-end archiving implementations and deployments across ECC and S/4 environments. The role requires deep ILM knowledge, data governance, and strong stakeholder coordination.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with archival testing, cutover activities, and cloud storage integration (AWS S3 or Azure Blob). Strong problem-solving and English communication skills are essential for success in this technical

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-15+ years of relevant experience in SAP Archiving/ILM.
• Experience in SAP Archiving Implementation, Deployment or Support projects.
• End-to-end SAP Archiving projects in ECC/S/4 environments.
• In-depth knowledge of archiving concepts, ILM, retention, and PBS/AIS.
• Techno-functional archiving skills.
• Experience with AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM storage desirable.
• Hands-on archiving testing, deployment, and cutover activities.
• Knowledge of PBS server, PBS configuration and PBS add-on.
• Knowledge of OpenText, IBM, KGS content/archive servers preferred.
• Experience in auditing ILM policies and GDPR aspects.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and lead technical project tracks.

Must have minimum 8 -15+ years of relevant experience with good analytical skill having experience in SAP Archiving/ILM Implementation, Deployment or Support projects.

Should have worked in at least couple of end-to-end SAP Archiving implementation projects preferably in SAP ECC/ S/4 System(s) having in-depth knowledge in below mentioned areas:

Database: Advanced SQL optimization for SAP HANA

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Leadership: Proven experience leading technical project tracks

Requirements

• SAP ILM retention management experience
• SAP ILM system decommissioning experience
• Experience in achieving implementation in various environments like ECC, S/4, CRM, SRM & HR etc. systems.
• Experience in PTP, OTC, FICO etc. cycle archiving of the transaction data and all other modules. Understanding the business flow of the same.
• Archiving in ECC system as part of system migration or conversion.
• Should pose Techno-functional archiving skills.
• Handling business and experience on requirements gathering process.
• Experience in the reporting tool for the effective retrieval of archived data.
• Expert in handling unstructured data solutions.
• Hands on experience on archiving testing process.
• Experience and involvement in deployment and cutover activities.
• Handling team and coordination with functional and client stakeholders.
• Creation of Rules & Policies through ILM and Defining the Archiving strategy along with the execution and monitoring of the Archival jobs.
• Knowledge in the ILM scenario like ILM Snapshot, Conversion, GDPR implementation, Retention Management & Retention Warehouse.
• Knowledge in the Audit area for the custom specific requirement.
• Knowledge in the Handling of Policies in ILM for the object specific requirement like Company Code, Sales Organization & Plant level.
• Knowledge in the Blocking and the retrieval of the archived data through PBS & AIS.
• Experience of handling PBS add-on, PBS server and PBS configuration
• Experience of working with AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM store
• Knowledge on working with content/archive servers like OpenText, IBM, KGS etc will be good to have skill.
• Experience of archiving assessments and solutions including third party solutions in the market
• ILM system decommissioning experience
• Structured and unstructured data archiving experience e.g. DMS, archive link and GOS attachments
