Job summary

XPT Software is seeking an experienced SAP Archiving/ILM specialist to lead end-to-end implementations and support activities. You will work on ECC/S/4HANA environments, optimize SQL for SAP HANA, and drive archiving strategy, policy creation, and monitoring across diverse landscapes.

Ideal candidates bring 8–15+ years of hands-on experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of coordinating with stakeholders and delivering successful deployments.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of relevant experience with SAP Archiving/ILM implementations, deployments or support.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP Archiving projects, preferably ECC/S/4HANA environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to lead technical project tracks.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project tracks for SAP ILM and archiving initiatives.
• Define archiving strategy, rules, policies and oversee execution and monitoring.
• Coordinate with functional teams and clients during deployment and cutover.
• Manage archival tests, data retrieval, and compliance-related activities.
• Work with PBS/AIS, OpenText, AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM stores.
• Support retention management, GDPR-related work, and system decommissioning.

Job description

Must have minimum 8 -15+ years of relevant experience with good analytical skill having experience in SAP Archiving/ILM Implementation, Deployment or Support projects.

Should have worked in at least couple of end-to-end SAP Archiving implementation projects preferably in SAP ECC/ S/4 System(s) having in-depth knowledge in the below-mentioned areas:

Database: Advanced SQL optimisation for SAP HANA

Leadership: Proven experience leading technical project tracks

• SAP ILM retention management experience
• SAP ILM system decommissioning experience
• Experience in achieving implementation in various environments like ECC, S/4, CRM, SRM & HR etc. systems.
• Experience in PTP, OTC, FICO etc. cycle archiving of the transaction data and all other modules. Understanding the business flow of the same.
• Archiving in ECC system as part of system migration or conversion.
• Should pose Techno-functional archiving skills.
• Handling business and experience on requirements gathering process.
• Experience in the reporting tool for the effective retrieval of archived data.
• Expert in handling unstructured data solutions.
• Hands on experience on archiving testing process.
• Experience and involvement in deployment and cutover activities.
• Handling team and coordination with functional and client stakeholders.
• Creation of Rules & Policies through ILM and Defining the Archiving strategy along with the execution and monitoring of the Archival jobs.
• Knowledge in the ILM scenario like ILM Snapshot, Conversion, GDPR implementation, Retention Management & Retention Warehouse.
• Knowledge in the Audit area for the custom specific requirement.
• Knowledge in the Handling of Policies in ILM for the object specific requirement like Company Code, Sales Organization & Plant level.
• Knowledge in the Blocking and the retrieval of the archived data through PBS & AIS.
• Experience of handling PBS add-on, PBS server and PBS configuration
• Experience of working with AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM store
• Knowledge on working with content/archive servers like OpenText, IBM, KGS etc will be good to have skill.
• Experience of archiving assessments and solutions including third party solutions in the market
• ILM system decommissioning experience
• Structured and unstructured data archiving experience e.g. DMS, archive link and GOS attachments
