Job summary

As a Senior Consultant, you will design, develop and implement SAP BTP solutions, integrate REST and OData APIs, and contribute to AI-enabled applications and automation.

The opportunity

Working across application development, experience design, cloud solutions and low-code/no-code platforms, you will help clients build digital solutions that support business growth and transformation. The role combines SAP BTP development with broader software engineering, with opportunities to apply technologies across SAP and cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS.

This is a hands-on role at Senior Consultant level, working alongside experienced architects and developers to design, develop and implement SAP BTP solutions. Our strongest areas of interest are SAP AI and generative AI development, integration, and backend application development. You may specialise in one area or bring experience across several.

You will:

• Design, develop and implement applications, extensions and integrations on SAP BTP.
• Develop and consume REST and OData APIs to connect SAP and other applications.
• Translate business requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to AI-enabled applications, automation and low-code/no-code solutions according to your specialisation and project needs.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and functional consultants through design, coding, testing and deployment.

Melbourne is our preferred location, although strong candidates based elsewhere in Australia will also be considered.

Your skills and experience

You will bring:

• At least two years’ hands-on SAP BTP development experience, with examples of solutions you have personally built and delivered.
• Strong capability in one or more of SAP AI/generative AI development, integration or backend application development.
• Practical experience developing and consuming APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

Depending on your specialisation, we would also value:

• SAP AI development experience, with Joule skills a bonus.
• SAP Integration Suite experience, including REST and OData services.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), supported by commercial Node.js and/or Java experience.
• Experience with SAP BTP Cloud Foundry environments, services and deployment models.
• SAP HANA Cloud, CDS modelling and SQL skills.
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA extensibility and clean-core principles.

Broader experience with React, Angular, GCP, Azure or AWS will be well regarded, as will SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA). SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 development experience is useful but is not essential.

You do not need every technology listed above. We value depth in your specialisation, practical client delivery and broader software engineering capability.
