Job summary

Henny’s Deli on Darling Street in Rozelle is opening from day one and is seeking a Sandwich Hand/Food Prep team member to join the launch. You will prepare fresh sandwiches and ingredients, keep the prep area organised, and support the kitchen during busy lunch service.

The role emphasizes speed, attention to detail, cleanliness, and following recipes and food-safety procedures. Competitive pay is offered based on experience, with all applicable Award entitlements.

Henny’s Deli is a brand-new neighbourhood café and deli opening at 618 Darling Street, Rozelle.

We want Henny’s to become a local favourite — somewhere people can grab a great coffee, fresh food and a seriously good sandwich.

We're now looking for a Sandwich Hand / Food Prep team member to join us from the beginning.

About the role

This is a hands-on role focused on preparing fresh sandwiches and ingredients while keeping our food preparation area organised, stocked and ready for service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing fresh sandwiches and deli items
• Preparing ingredients for daily service
• Portioning, slicing and assembling ingredients
• Following recipes and presentation standards
• Maintaining consistency and quality
• Restocking ingredients throughout service
• Rotating and storing food correctly
• Keeping preparation areas clean and organised
• Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
• Assisting the kitchen team when required
• Helping with opening, closing and cleaning duties

About you

• Has previous café, deli, sandwich or food-preparation experience
• Works quickly and neatly

Pay: $26.44 – $38.78 per hour
