Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Australia in Girraween, NSW is seeking a diligent Sample Management Officer to ensure samples pass through the laboratory in an orderly fashion, are accessible to staff, and are handled from refrigeration to storage or disposal. You will manage water and soil sample cool rooms, assist with biosamples disposal under supervision, and follow the Eurofins Code of Ethics.

A science or engineering background and proficiency with MS Word/Excel are preferred; weekend or

Responsibilities

• Ensure water, soil, and hold samples are kept up to date and orderly.
• Disposal of Water Samples and Soil Samples; disposal of Biosecurity Samples under supervision.
• Follow Eurofins Code of Ethics and policies; maintain laboratory sample flow.

Eurofins Environment Testing Australiais an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. Job Description

• Full Time | Girraween, NSW
• Shift times: Monday to Friday; 8AM to 4PM
• An extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard rate.

The Sample Management Officer role is responsible for ensuring that all samples effectively pass through the laboratory in an orderly fashion, that they are easily accessible by laboratory staff, and that they are removed from refrigeration and put in storage or disposed of, once completed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES:

The Sample Management Officer will be responsible for ensuring the following duties are performed:

• Ensure “water samples” cool room is kept up to date and orderly.
• Ensure “soil samples” cool room is kept up to date and orderly.
• Ensure “hold samples” cool room is kept up to date and orderly.
• Ensure soil samples long term storage is kept up to date and orderly.
• Disposal of Water Samples
• Disposal of Soil Samples
• Disposal of Biosecurity Samples, under supervision.
• Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Science qualifications and/or university master’s level qualifications, will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MSExcel. General knowledge about systems, IT architecture and production control, will be anadvantage.
