Job summary

A leading environmental testing company in New South Wales is seeking a Lab Technician for a full-time position in Girraween. The role requires shift work from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Responsibilities include sample preparation, data entry, priority handling for urgent samples, maintaining lab cleanliness, and performing equipment calibrations. Ideal candidates should have a good understanding of chemistry and mathematics, and a hands-on work attitude. Qualifications

• No science degree required, but a good understanding of chemistry and mathematics is necessary.
• Desire to learn and improve is important.
• Hands-on worker with a common sense approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for soils and water using accredited methods.
• Enter data results into spreadsheets.
• Prioritize urgent samples with shorter turnaround times.
• Replenish consumable items from warehouse supplies.
• Calibrate equipment as per the schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the laboratory.
• Execute any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties safely and professionally.
