Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Solution Architect to join a large-scale government program in Melbourne on a 12-month labour hire contract.

The role bridges business requirements and technical design, delivering scalable Salesforce solutions and leading architectural governance within SAFe, including performance, security, and observability considerations. You will mentor teams and drive best-practice design across complex ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience delivering Salesforce projects in a senior architecture role.
• Extensive experience with non-functional requirements (performance, security, resilience).
• Deep Salesforce platform knowledge across Clouds and industry solutions.
• Hands-on with Salesforce & Vlocity/OmniStudio; strong integration design skills.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable architecture.

Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Salesforce Solution Architect to join a large-scale federal government program on an initial 12-month labour hire contract. This role is ideal for a highly skilled architect who can bridge business requirements with technical solutions, provide architectural leadership, and drive best-practice design across complex Salesforce ecosystems.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Delivery Teams to develop product roadmaps and plan solution design activities, including technical dependencies and delivery sequencing.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and produce detailed architecture, design documents, and technical artefacts.
• Define and design non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, resilience, observability, and recoverability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to solution architects, developers, and project teams.
• Participate in architecture governance, technical review boards, and executive-level solution endorsement processes.
• Ensure solution designs align with Salesforce CRM architecture, product roadmaps, industry best practices, and organisational architectural standards.
• Drive consistency through architecture standards, frameworks, and design processes across the broader architecture team.
• Work within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), contributing to PI Planning, ART events, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that improve delivery quality, efficiency, and business outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in a Solution Architect role delivering Salesforce projects, including large-scale and complex enterprise implementations.
• Extensive experience designing enterprise-grade non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, recoverability, and security.
• Deep architectural and technical expertise across Salesforce platforms, including multiple Salesforce Clouds and industry solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce and Vlocity/OmniStudio.
• Proven experience designing integration architectures and patterns between Salesforce and external enterprise systems.
• Ability to develop proof of concepts and prototypes to validate and demonstrate proposed solutions.
• Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery quality, efficiency, and speed.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hold an NV1 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

It is desirable if you have:

• Salesforce Architect certifications.
• Vlocity/OmniStudio certifications.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong "can-do" attitude.
• Experience or passion for accessible and inclusive design and development practices.
