Job summary

Trideca in Australia is seeking a Salesforce DevSecOps and Platform Architect to lead the engineering side of a large Salesforce advisory engagement for a major health and insurance client. You will design standard pipelines, enforce security, and guide architecture decisions rather than building every pipeline.

You will work across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, implementing GitHub Actions, Salesforce CLI, and sandbox strategies.

Qualifications

• Extensive Salesforce platform experience across Sales, Service and Marketing clouds.
• Hands-on with Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, sandboxes, and Git-based workflows.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps Center, Jira, and open-source Salesforce CI/CD tooling.
• Background in regulated industries (health/insurance/financial) valued.
• Desirable Salesforce Architect certifications and Marketing Cloud Next / Data Cloud familiarity.

Responsibilities

We are partnering with a leading Australian health and insurance organisation on an advisory engagement across its Salesforce platform, and we are looking for a Salesforce DevSecOps and Platform Architectwith a DevSecOps background to lead the engineering side of that work.

About the opportunity

The organisation runs a substantial Salesforce estate across Marketing Cloud Next, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and is ready to bring its engineering practice up to the same standard. This role gives them an independent, practical view of where the platform stands today and what to fix first. The work starts with assessment and validation. You will shape the engineering pattern and prove it works rather than build every pipeline yourself. You will report to Trideca's engagement lead and work closely with the client's digital and technology team every day.

What you will do

• Your first focus is DevSecOps for the core Salesforce clouds.
• You will assess current change, release, testing, approval, rollback and access practices, then design a standard pipeline pattern on GitHub and GitHub Actions using Salesforce CLI and source driven development.
• You will define branching, environment, release and rollback standards, including sandbox strategy and data masking for non production environments. Part of the job is separating what can be managed through metadata from what cannot, and documenting the manual exceptions with clear controls.
• You will build security into the pipeline through static code analysis, secrets handling, and permission and profile checks, and you will stand up a working reference pipeline.
• Your second focus is architecture and consolidation. You will review the organisation's Sales Cloud instances, support the decision on which instance is retained, map duplication across orgs, and recommend a consolidation path and migration approach. You will identify the engineering foundations that need to be in place first, and work with the client's architecture team so decisions get engineering input early.

What you bring

• You will have strong Salesforce platform experience, ideally five years or more across Sales, Service and Marketing clouds, and a DevSecOps or platform engineering background with a track record of building CI/CD for Salesforce.
• You will be hands on with Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs and sandboxes, the Metadata API and Git based workflows, and experienced with GitHub Actions, including pipeline design, approvals and environment protection.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps Center, Jira integration and open source Salesforce CI/CD tooling such as sfdx-hardis is essential, as is working knowledge of Salesforce security controls as they apply to the pipeline.
• You will have worked in a regulated industry such as health, insurance or financial services, and you can explain engineering trade offs to executives while changing the habits of the people who use the platform every day.
• It would be an advantage to hold a Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect or Technical Architect certification, and to have experience with Marketing Cloud Next and Data Cloud, including data kits and packaging.
• Experience with multi org consolidation or org merge programs, familiarity with Gearset, Copado or Salesforce Code Analyzer, exposure to Adobe Target, and an interest in Agentforce and AI enablement across MarTech would all be valued.

The ideal person has to come from DevSecOps into Salesforce. Salesforce depth is essential, and general platform engineering skills transfer well.
