Job summary

The HR Ally is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer for a Sydney-based contract role. You will build, configure, and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud Engagement, delivering end-to-end lifecycle from requirements through deployment.

The role requires 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development, Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and integrating cross-cloud workloads, with strong Agile and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and configuration across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
• Hands-on experience across Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud engagements and integrations.

Role: Salesforce Developer
Location: Sydney, NSW
Job Type: Contract (6 months + Possible extensions)
Experience: 6+ yrs

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, enhance and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud Engagement.
• Take assigned user stories through the complete delivery lifecycle including build, unit testing, deployment, defect resolution and production support.
• Develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Flow and platform configuration.
• Build and enhance Sales Cloud referral and sales pipelines, including leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities and associated business processes.
• Build and maintain Service Cloud capabilities including case management, queues, routing, assignment, automation and service workflows.
• Build and maintain Marketing Cloud Engagement solutions including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Data Extensions, segmentation and customer communications.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud Engagement, as well as integrations with other enterprise systems.
• Understand the end-to-end Salesforce ecosystem and identify cross-cloud impacts and dependencies before implementation.
• Configure objects, fields, validation rules, Flows, permission sets, profiles, sharing models and other platform capabilities.
• Develop and consume REST/SOAP APIs and support integration patterns across the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot issues across the three clouds and identify whether problems originate from configuration, code, data, integration or cross-cloud dependencies.
• Support Salesforce releases, deployments, environment management and CI/CD processes.
• Work closely with Business teams, Product Manager, QA, architecture and integration teams to deliver solutions aligned with agreed designs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, and maintain appropriate technical and deployment documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and configuration experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience working across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud Engagement.
• Ability and willingness to work across all three clouds rather than specializing exclusively in one Salesforce product.
• Strong development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL and Salesforce Flow.
• Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud processes including referral/lead pipelines, accounts, contacts and opportunities.
• Hands-on experience with Service Cloud including case management, queues, routing, assignment and service automation.
• Hands-on Marketing Cloud Engagement experience, particularly Journey Builder, Data Extensions, Automation Studio and Email Studio.
• Experience integrating Marketing Cloud Engagement with Salesforce CRM.
• Strong understanding of cross-cloud data flows, dependencies and impacts between Sales, Service and Marketing Cloud.
• Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of Salesforce data models, security, sharing rules, roles, profiles and permission sets.
• Knowledge of Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Ability to take a user story from requirements/design through development, testing, deployment and support.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification.
• Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant or Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer/Consultant certification.
• Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.
• Experience with Experience Cloud.
• Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated platforms.
