Job summary

Sydney Tools is seeking a Sales Trainer to join the NSW Head Office in Roselands. You will design and deliver induction programs, run ongoing sales skills training, and coach frontline staff across our store network to deliver expert service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in sales training or related L&D roles, retail background is a bonus, and a valid driver’s licence with willingness to travel across metro and regional NSW. Generous staff discounts and clear career progression await.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Sales Trainer, Retail Trainer or in a similar L&D role.
• Background in retail sales is a plus, especially tools/hardware sectors.
• Confident presenting to groups and coaching individuals one-on-one.
• Strong understanding of retail sales techniques and customer sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering induction and onboarding training for new retail sales staff
• Running ongoing sales skills, product knowledge and customer service training across the store network
• Coaching on the shop floor and providing real-time feedback
• Partnering with Store Managers and Regional Managers to identify skills gaps
• Building a library of training materials including guides, product modules, role-play scenarios
• Delivering through classroom sessions, floor coaching, e-learning and gamification
• Collaborating with major brand partners to keep product training current
• Supporting training rollouts for new store openings
• Tracking training impact and reporting on results
