Job summary

Big Chief Hire, part of Northeast Auto Group, is seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive growth across Australia. This hands-on role focuses on winning new business, building customer relationships and delivering sales results.

You will mentor a high-performing team, set targets, develop new markets and manage inquiries while maintaining a healthy pipeline to meet monthly and annual objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales management or leadership.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Experience in equipment hire, construction, transport, industrial or related industries is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Set clear sales targets, KPIs and activity expectations, and drive the team to achieve them.
• Identify and develop new customer markets, industries and business opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and develop long-term accounts.
• Manage incoming enquiries and leads while proactively generating new business.
• Maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline and ensure opportunities are progressed.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue, market share and customer retention.
• Work with operations and hire teams to ensure customers receive the right equipment and service solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored hire solutions that deliver value.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movements and opportunities.
• Use CRM and sales reporting to track performance and drive accountability.
• Work towards and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives.
• Represent Big Chief Hire at customer meetings and industry events.
