Job description

aXcelerate is a leading Australian SaaS company transforming the way organisations develop skills, manage learning, and build workforce capability. Our integrated platform combines a powerful Student Management System (SMS), Learning Management System (LMS), and Skills, our workforce competency management solution, to help training providers, enterprises, and government organisations simplify compliance, streamline operations, and develop confident, capable workforces.

Trusted by over 1,300 organisations and powering more than 2.8 million learners, we're redefining how learning and workforce capability are managed across Australia as we expand our impact internationally.

Recognised as a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years, we're proud to foster a culture where our people are empowered to innovate, collaborate and grow. We believe our success comes from creating an environment where ideas are valued, curiosity is encouraged, and every individual has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As we continue our exciting growth journey, there's never been a better time to join a team that's shaping the future of education technology. Whether your passion lies in technology, customer success, sales, marketing, product, or corporate services, you'll find opportunities to grow your career, work alongside talented people, and help create solutions that make a real difference.

The Role

This is a new business role with a genuine territory to build. Most of your time will go into finding, qualifying and closing new customers — enterprise organisations managing workforce training and compliance across sectors like resources, energy, construction, health and government, as well as RTOs and training providers. You'll start in WA and sell nationally.

You'll also take commercial ownership of a small portfolio of our larger WA enterprise customers. Your job there is to deepen those relationships, help them get real, measurable value from aXcelerate, and turn them into advocates. Their stories become your strongest sales asset with the next wave of prospects.

You'll be our WA-based seller, working autonomously in-region while staying closely connected to the national sales team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Winning new business: building your WA territory plan, generating your own pipeline through outreach, networking, events, referrals and marketing campaigns, and closing new business across WA and nationally.
  • Selling as a trusted advisor: running structured discovery, delivering tailored demos, and putting together value-based proposals that link our solutions to measurable client outcomes.
  • Negotiating and closing: negotiating commercially sound agreements in line with company objectives and pricing guidelines.
  • Growing our WA enterprise accounts: building multi-level relationships with executive sponsors, L&D, HR, Safety and Compliance stakeholders; protecting renewals and closing expansion opportunities alongside Customer Success and Professional Services.
  • Creating advocates: developing customers into referenceable advocates through case studies, reference calls, site visits and events.
  • Selling smarter with AI: using AI tools for prospect research, outreach personalisation, pipeline prioritisation and proposals, and suggesting where we can automate and work smarter.
  • Running a disciplined pipeline: keeping the CRM accurate, managing pipeline health and providing reliable forecasts.
  • Being our voice in WA: representing aXcelerate at WA industry forums and feeding market insights back to Product, Marketing and leadership.

About You

You are a commercially savvy sales professional with a passion for building relationships, account management, solving business challenges, and delivering results.

You'll bring:

  • Experience in, or selling into, RTOs, VET, enterprise workforce training, competency management or compliance.
  • Experience managing and growing enterprise accounts with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Confident when engaging and presenting to senior executives.
  • Comfort with a CRM and sales enablement tools, plus familiarity with AI tools — or a genuine willingness to learn.
  • The self-motivation to work autonomously as the WA member of a national team, and the organisation to juggle multiple opportunities at once.

Nice to have:

  • 3–5+ years in B2B sales, business development or account management, ideally in SaaS or technology.
  • A proven track record of winning new business across the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close.
  • An established network across WA industry, particularly resources, energy, construction or other high-compliance sectors.
  • Experience selling learning management, student management or workforce compliance software.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.

What We Offer

At aXcelerate, we believe our people are our greatest asset. In return for your expertise and passion, we offer:

  • A centrally located office close to public transport, cafes, and shops, with free onsite parking.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • A vibrant, supportive, and collaborative team culture.
  • Regular team events and social activities.
  • Access to professional development opportunities, including internal and external training and a dedicated annual professional development budget.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program for you and your family.
  • Discounted gym memberships and Pilates classes to support your wellbeing.
  • Clear career pathways and opportunities for growth across the business.
  • Membership with Women in Technology, including access to networking events, professional development opportunities, and industry resources.
