Job summary

Battery World in Bankstown, NSW 2200, is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and help customers with battery needs. The role involves fitting batteries, roadside support, and efficient sales processing in a busy store environment.

Australian work authorization is required; a Class C licence is preferred. The successful candidate will join a passionate team committed to quality products and service.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Sales Assistant at Battery World, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their battery needs. These needs will often require heavy lifting or installation of anything from keyfob batteries to installations in bikes, cars or trucks. This full-time role is based at our Bankstown, NSW 2200 store, where you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to our valued customers.

Australian work authorization is required for this position.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them find the right batteries for their needs.

Fitting batteries to vehicles and reprogramming bms systems using scan tools.

Be a part of our in hours roadside team which provides support to broken down vehicles away from the store where required.

Processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately.

Maintaining a clean, well-organised and visually appealing store environment.

Restocking shelves and ensuring product availability.

Assisting with inventory management and other administrative tasks as required.

Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the battery or automotive industry. Previous auomotive mechanical experience and qualifications will be looked at favourably.

A current Class C licence as a minimum.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

A strong problem-solving ability***

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.

Enthusiasm, reliability and a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
