Job summary

Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay, seeks an experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to safeguard emergency response capability across underground and surface operations. You will coordinate training, equipment management and compliance under the Manager, Health, Safety, Training & Compliance.

You will lead Mine Rescue, Fire Officer duties and first aid readiness, working with operations and leadership to ensure high safety and regulatory standards and

Qualifications

• Extensive underground coal mining experience.
• Strong understanding of emergency response systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to Safety and Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mine rescue teams and ensure compliance with Manning and competency requirements.
• Manage Fire Officer and First Aid, Mine Rescue and Firefighting equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Develop and deliver emergency response training programs across the operation.
• Monitor and report emergency response capability and site readiness.
• Lead investigations, drills and incident response exercises.
• Drive continuous improvement of emergency management systems.
