Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking a Safety, Health & Wellbeing Partner to support centres and people leaders with practical, policy-aligned health and safety guidance. You will lead incident investigations, maintain key registers and ensure compliance to WHS requirements across Western Australia.

You will be the trusted advisor on safety, driving clear actions and continuous improvement while building strong relationships with teams.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience providing safety advice in a complex, people‑focused environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate policy into clear, user-friendly guidance.
  • High attention to detail with strong case management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education is desirable, not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for Safety, Health and Wellbeing enquiries across Goodstart.
  • Provide clear, practical and timely advice aligned to policies, procedures and legislation.

  • Build positive, respectful relationships that reinforce safety as part of being a Goodstarter.

Supporting services across Western Australia, with 1 day based at the East Victoria Park Centre Support Office and a minimum of 1 day onsite at services

Employment Type: 12 month fixed term - Full-time

Your Impact:
  • Be the first point of contact for Safety, Health and Wellbeing enquiries across Goodstart

You’ll bring to the table:
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of Workplace Health & Safety legislation
  • Work Health Safety Diploma or higher with sufficient work experience
  • Experience providing safety advice in a complex, people-focused environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate policy into clear, user-friendly guidance
  • High attention to detail with strong case management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in a social enterprise, education or health setting (highly regarded)
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education (desirable, not essential)
  • Current WA Working with Children Check
