Job summary

HEH Civil Pty Ltd is seeking a Safety Officer to support a project-based team in Cairns / Far North Queensland. The role is onsite at the project site office and covers safety, environmental and quality activities throughout the project.

Reporting to the Systems Manager, you will assist with site inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talks while supporting ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements. This fixed-term role offers practical site exposure with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is required.
• Construction White Card and current Queensland Driver’s Licence.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with site teams.
• Willingness to learn and build practical safety experience in civil construction.
• Experience in safety, WHS, HSEQ, civil construction or DTMR projects will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Responsibilities
